Rod the Mod
The first time Rod the Mod was seen by me was in the Fall of 1968. Nobody had heard of him at the Fillmore East in New York City when he was the singer for the Jeff Beck Group. He basically blew everyone away with his big voice. His nickname in England was Daisy Grenade (as in Mods versus Rockers). If the instruments were mixed better and Rod's mic was louder, this concert at Alpharetta would have been better. The overall sound was slightly distorted and sometimes you couldn't hear Rod real well. But it was an enjoyable evening and it was nice to see Daisy Grenade in person again after 47 years.
